Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how SnappyPie (“we”, “us”, “the app”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our iOS app, web app at snappypie.app/login (and routes such as /home and /community), and API at snappypie.app (API paths on the same host).
Account required
You must create an account (Sign in with Apple or email and password) before using SnappyPie. We associate your lessons, usage limits, and subscription status with your account.
Information we collect
- Account information — email address, display name, and (if you use Sign in with Apple) an Apple user identifier. Apple may share your name or email only on first sign-in.
- Images you submit — photos you capture or import to generate lessons. Images are sent to our servers for AI processing. We do not use them for advertising.
- Lessons and timeline — lesson content, teaching style, timestamps, and whether you chose to share a lesson with the community. Lessons you save sync to your account on our servers.
- Community feed — if you enable sharing, your lesson may appear in the public Community library (title, steps, optional image, author display name, category filters). You can keep lessons private or change sharing defaults in Profile.
- Usage and subscriptions — monthly lesson counts, plan tier, and subscription status from Apple (via RevenueCat). We do not store full payment card numbers.
- Device and app data — basic technical data (e.g. app version, request metadata) to operate the service, prevent abuse, and fix errors.
How we use information
We use data to:
- Authenticate you and keep you signed in across iOS and web
- Generate and store micro-lessons from your images
- Enforce Included, Plus, and Pro usage limits
- Operate the Community library when you opt in to sharing
- Process subscriptions and restore purchases
- Respond to support requests and comply with law
We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party services
- OpenAI — processes lesson requests on our behalf under our API agreement.
- RevenueCat — subscription and entitlement management.
- Apple — App Store distribution, Sign in with Apple, and in-app billing.
- Cloudflare — hosts our API, web app, and this website.
Retention
We retain account and lesson data while your account is active. Usage counters are kept as needed to enforce plan limits. You may delete local timeline data in the app; contact us to request deletion of server-side account data. Community posts you shared may remain visible until removed or you ask us to delete them.
Security
We use HTTPS for API traffic and industry-standard practices to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
Children
SnappyPie is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
- Sign out — Profile → Sign out (bottom of the screen).
- Community sharing — choose per lesson during generation or set a default in Profile.
- Camera and photos — revoke access in iOS Settings; you can still use the photo library if permitted.
- Subscriptions — manage or cancel in Profile → Manage subscription (Customer Center), Cancel subscription, or iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
International users
Our services are operated from the United States. If you use SnappyPie from other regions, your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
